Many of you may have been following Kate and I on our journey to have a baby through our Surrogacy, Baby! podcast, but in any case we were thrilled to welcome our little baby Milo into the world on March 27th at 4:22am! It was a rollercoaster of a ride, and Kate and I are working on recording a podcast episode to tell the whole story, but both Milo and our surrogate are happy & healthy and Kate, Milo, and I are back home in SLO and loving every minute together.
In anticipation of his arrival and the likelihood that I would be taking WAY more pictures than I was before, I decided to upgrade my non-phone camera from the full-frame Canon 6D to the mirrorless Fujifilm XT5 paired with a Fuji 33mm f/1.4 Prime Lens, and so far I’m extremely happy with the photos that I’ve been able to take with the new camera setup.
Suffice it to say, Kate and I are still settling into life with a newborn, but every day we’re getting the hang of it more and more… and luckily getting a bit more sleep as Milo gets older!
